The Niger State Police Command recently handed over cheques totaling over ₦102 million to families of fallen police officers. The Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, presented the cheques as part of the Inspector General of Police's welfare initiative.

The cheques were presented to 80 families of deceased police officers.
- The gesture is part of the Group Life Assurance and Family Welfare Schemes for police officers.

CP Elleman urged the families to use the token wisely and consider the police command as their second home.

Mr. Samuel Shashere expressed gratitude, saying the gesture had wiped away their tears and given them renewed hope.

Mrs. Esther Guyil appreciated the intervention, describing it as consolation for her loss and praying for God's protection for police officers.
