HEAVY FLOOD HIT PART OF TUFA COMMUNITY, TODAY.
Residents of Tufa community, under Gurara local government of Niger state, were thrown into tension in the early hours of today as heavy flood hit part of the community destroying several houses and displacing many residents.
The flood which occured as a result of the heavy rainfall which began at about 3am last night until this morning, is reported to be the first of its kind experienced by the community.
While no single life was lost to the flood, the situation however still requires the attention and/or intervention of relevant authorities in Gurara and Niger state at large for the purpose of taking necessary and immediate measures towards preventing a worse scenario of the situation as the month of August rain intensifies.
