Tragic Accident on Lapai Road Claims 22 Lives
GURARA TV can confirm that a fatal accident occurred earlier today along the Lapai Road in Niger State, resulting in the death of 22 persons and leaving several others injured.
The tragic incident involved a trailer transporting both cows and human passengers—a dangerously common practice in rural and inter-state transport. Eyewitness reports indicate that the overloaded vehicle lost control along a dangerous bend, leading to a devastating crash.
Emergency responders, including officers of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), local vigilantes, and good Samaritans, were seen working tirelessly to evacuate victims and rush the injured to nearby medical facilities. Sadly, many of the deceased were said to have died on the spot due to the severity of the impact.
