The Police in Niger State has apprehended a 23-year-old for running a fake college of health technology in Niger State.
The suspect, Daniel Ishaya was arrested alongside one other person, identified by the police as Francis Ede.
Reports by the police reveal that the duo had admitted to running the fake institution located in Maikunkele, Bosso local government area of Niger State as Proprietor and Director without approval by authorities.
According to a statement by the Niger State Police Public Relations Officer DSP Wasiu Abiodun, Ishaya confessed to having enrolled no fewer than 100 students since commencing operation in 2021.
“During interrogation, Daniel Ishaya confessed that he established the School in the Year 2020 while he commenced admission in the Year 2021 without any authorization or certification from the appropriate government body.
“He confessed further that he forged a certificate of registration to deceive members of the public to register and gain admission into the school, in which about one hundred students had enrolled into the School at the rate of N78,000 for tuition fees and other charges, while Francis Ede has been helping him to manage the school as the managing director with about twenty teachers,” Abiodun said.

5 Days After, Minna-Bida Road Collapses Again
A portion of the Minna-Bida road which was repaired five days ago has collapsed.
Giranhypehouse learned that the collapse which occurred as a result of a culvert failure was repaired by the Niger State Road Maintenance Agency (NIGROMA) on Thursday evening.
A commuter, Abdullahi Isa, while lamenting the inconvenience caused by the failed road said that he, alongside many other workers who were on their way to work on Monday morning have been stranded.
Commuters coming from Bida to other parts of the state will now have to follow the longer route from Lemu to Zungeru and down to Minna while those intending to travel through Bida will have to use the Minna- Lapai -Agaie – Bida road.
The Minna-Bida Road has since become one of the most sought-after road projects in Niger State.
The Niger State Government had accessed an $86.64 million loan from the Islamic Development Bank(IsDB) for the construction and upgrading of the 82-kilometre Minna-Bida road being handled by Dantata and Sawoe Company in 2021.
Last year, the Federal Executive Council (FEC) also approved N621.2 billion for the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) to take over the reconstruction of 21 federal roads among which included the Bida-Minna road
