LAPAI: An executive of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has been shot dead by bandits along Saminaka and Lambata road in Niger State.
The deceased, identified as Mohammed Kudu was shot dead on Sunday night while on his way to Kaduna State from Lafiagi, in Kwara State.
Until his death, late Kudu was the state coordinator for Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara states.
Confirming his death, the FIRS, in a statement signed by the Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman of the service, media, and communications, Johannes Oluwatobi Wojuola described Kudu as a reliable member of the service who had “dedicated over two decades of his life to a selfless and hard-working career at the service.”
