Niger state Assembly Commences Investigation into Disappearance of Missing Tractors

MINNA: A seven-man committee has been set up by the Niger State House of Assembly to investigate the circumstances leading to the disappearance of about 72 tractors belonging to the 25 local government areas in the state.

This follows a motion moved by the Member representing Bosso Constituency, Malik Madaki Bosso during plenary

According to the Lawmaker, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) in Niger State had written a petition to the state Assembly over the disappearance of the tractors, four years after the local government councils were asked to return them for repair.

The 72 tractors, it was learned, were returned in 2018 by the LGA’s following a letter mandating the councils to return them to the state Ministry for Local Government

The Tractors, according to the letter, were returned to one ‘Messr Dangaroga Allah’.

Bosso urged the Assembly to take urgent action to investigate the issue.
